WHEN WE went to Palavilla, Lutayan, Sultan Kudarat last weekend to attend my uncle’s burial, I spotted this old artesian water pump. I tried to use it and found out that it was still working. However, the people in the locality no longer find use for this artesian water pump because they now have water supply from a water district.
I could imagine how people flocked to this spot when it was first built as — probably — the only water source of the locals. Now, people don’t even care about its existence.
Like this well our time in this world will also come to an end. So I must do all that I can while I am here.
