ALONG THE way to Lake Holon in T’boli, South Cotabato, I noticed several leafless trees. I can’t tell if they are dying or if they had just lost leaves and they would grow them back one day. Trees like those in the photo above possess something that makes me want to take pictures of them. In my collection, in fact, I have plenty of photos of leafless, if not lifeless, trees. What comes to my mind when I look at my photos of them is a reminder — that there is an end to all that is living.
