ONE OF my favorite places in my hometown where I can spend some time with myself and be able to retreat from the hurly-burly of life’s rat race is Lake Beto in Barangay Spring, Alabel, Sarangani Province.

I wish I could one day buy a property somewhere in the lake’s vicinity where I could build a retreat house. That’s a dream I would work hard for.
